Details: Ornaments are approximately ¼" thick and 2 3/8” in diameter. The front side features a colorful image made from high resolution photos of our felt ornaments. The images have been printed on vellum with a permanent adhesive backing. The back side indicates the day the ornament is to be hung, the associated Bible scriptures and book chapter to be read that day.
During the advent season, the tradition of the Jesse Tree is the perfect way to countdown the days until Christmas. This ornament set was designed to correspond with the readings from the book, Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas by Ann Voskamp (please note, the book is not included). This holiday tradition is a wonderful way to engage and educate kids of all ages and it helps to keep Jesus at the center of the season.
Our Jesse Tree ornament sets are to be used in the same way you would use a traditional Christmas advent calendar. There is an ornament for each day December 1st through Christmas Day. Each ornament symbol represents a story from the Bible. These stories help to walk you through the lineage of Jesus, starting with creation and ending with his birth. During the month of December, we are reminded of God's plan to give us the gift of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus his son.
